Dr Mritunjay Chaubey is sustainability, environment and water expert of international repute. He has done Ph.D. in environmental engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. He has nearly 27- years of professional working experience in renowned MNCs Pentair, Shell, Unilever & UPL. Recently Dr Chaubey elected as Governing Council Member of United Nations Global Compact Network India. Dr Chaubey has made an unique position in corporate world by embedding sustainability & reducing the environmental footprint of big corporates such as Pentair, Shell, Unilever & UPL. Currently more than 100 environmental protection sustainable technologies are successfully working in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America & South America designed by him. Under his leadership UPL has reduced 40% water consumption, 21% carbon emission & 57% waste disposal in last 3-years. UPL is also known for its pioneering University of Sustainable Technology. Dr Chaubey is Editorial Board member of renowned international journal “Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment” as well as “Arab Water World”. He is also member of Bureau of Indian Standards for making BIS Standards for water & wastewater treatment and environmental protection. More than 50 technical papers has been published in renowned international journals & conferences with his name. Dr Chaubey is author of a renowned book “Wastewater Treatment Technologies Design Considerations” published by Wiley publisher USA.

Dr. Chaubey is currently working as Global Vice President & Head – Sustainability & Environment with UPL. Recently Dr. Chaubey is awarded with “Most Influential Sustainability Leader Award”, “Chief Sustainability Officer of the Year Award” and “Asian Sustainable Leadership Award”. In March 2023, Dr Chaubey delivered lecture in UN Water Conference New York.

Mr. Prabodha Acharya is the Chief Sustainability Officer at the JSW Group. In his current role, he partners with the CEOs, functional heads, senior executives and operations heads to develop and drive the implementation of sustainability and ESG strategy for the JSW Group companies of Steel, Energy, Cement, Paints, Infrastructure etc. In his current role, he has been instrumental in integrating sustainability into the business strategy and advanced JSW’s sustainability initiatives to increase long term value for the group companies. Mr Acharya has worked for more than three decades in the field of corporate environmental management, emissions reduction, climate change, corporate strategy on sustainability and policy development across various sectors and geographies. Beginning his career with SAIL, he has worked and managed a variety of environmental issues from mining to manufacturing in the metal (iron and steel) sector. Later, he managed the climate change, sustainability and customized Assurance Service for South Asia at Lloyd’s Register, UK and then as Sr. Vice President for Aditya Birla Group Sustainability before joining the JSW Group as the CSO during 2019.

Mr Acharya, a prominent voice for sustainable business practices, has been awarded as one of the most impactful sustainability leader by the world sustainability. He provides thought leaderships through his capacity as the Chairman / Vice Chair / member of Various Climate Change and Sustainability committees of Industry bodies like Indian Steel Association, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, ICC, WBCSD, Worldsteel etc. He is a professional lead assessor registered with IRCA, UK and EPD Verifier as per The International EPD System.

Mr. Prabodha Acharya holds a Bachelor Degree (BE) in Civil Engineering (Hons), IGIT, Utkal University and a Masters in Technology (MTech) in Environmental Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur.

Dr. Arvind is an experienced ESG, CSR & Risk Management professional with more than 3 decades of experience in Fertilizers, Petrochemicals, Steel, Cement, Shipping, Glass, FMCG, Pharma and Automobile sectors in National and Multinational environments.

Arvind currently works as a Chief Sustainability Officer with Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel. Before joining AMNS, Arvind was working as an Executive Director-ESG and Chief Risk Officer with Dalmia Bharat Group.

Besides Risk & Sustainability Arvind has also worked in the area of Operations, Business excellence, Marketing and HR.

Arvind holds a Doctorate in Climate Science and Marketing. He is also a certified Independent Director from the Institute of Directors.

Rahul Nene is a Mechanical Engineer with a post-graduation in Sustainability Management from NITIE, Mumbai, with additional certifications on Renewable Energy Procurement from Imperial College, London and the NEBOSH – International General Certificate. He has about 12 years of experience working in the oil & gas, FMCG, technology and chemical sectors.

A major part of Rahul’s earlier work experience comprised a stint with L'Oréal India, where he was responsible for managing their sustainability and safety programs in both research and operations. His latest stint was with Pidilite Industries where he was the Corporate Sustainability Head.

Currently, Rahul is the Head of Sustainability at Huhtamaki India, a global leader in flexible packaging.
